Silastic® NPC-40 and NPC-80船視

Silicone Rubbers are desi那對gned

as no-post-cure, general-purpose

silicone rubbers. These sili東電cone

rubbers can be compounded w廠這ith

a variety of extending路來 fillers or

blended with selected base答中s to fabricate

parts with other hardnesses

upon vulcanization. They are厭懂 serviceable

over a wide temperature

range.

HOW TO USE

Vulcanizing Agents

Silastic NPC-40 and NPC-80 Silicon很錢e

Rubbers require t民小he addition of a近些

vulcanizing agent. T catalyst (2,4-上讀dichlorobenzoyl

peroxide) is recommended

for hot air vulc兒了anization.

V catalyst (2,5-bis[tert-butylperoxy]裡車-

2,5-dimethylhexane日國) or D catalyst

(dicumyl peroxide) is recommen下鐘ded

for molding.

Compounding

Silastic NPC-40 and NPC-80 Silicon購弟e

Rubbers can be blended放門 with other

bases and Silastic NPC-40 Silicone大兵

Rubber can be e又廠xtended with

fillers to modify the durometer of匠匠

the compounds. Further, Sila機廠stic

NPC-40 and NPC-80 Silicone

Rubbers can be p聽河igmented to

almost any color shade desired.

Heat Stability

Addition of Silastic® HT-1 Modifier

(1 phr) or red iron oxide past是市e (3

phr) is recommen通離ded to improve

heat stability with Silasti關什c NPC-40

and NPC-80 Silicone Rubbers.

Silastic HT-1 M湖銀odifier allows the

rubbers to be pigmented to almost

any color shade desired.

HANDLING

PRECAUTIONS

During vulcanization and司工 oven curing,

vapors are given off that may

be harmful. Inhalation of vapors

should be avoided. Vulcanization

should be conducted in an area

that is properly ventilated.
